LUDICROUS OFFENSES

I was amazed to learn about some of the finable offenses that Virginia Beach has on the books (Daily Break, April 8). I wonder what Brain Trust came up with these moronic laws.

Although I can understand the potential for injury while throwing a Frisbee, does that justify regulating it? There is an equal probability of drowning or spraining an ankle. Does that mean swimming and jogging should be prohibited?

How many injuries have resulted from a child on a tricycle running into the leg of an adult on the boardwalk? It seems ludicrous to require children to ride on the bike path, where there is a chance of injury resulting from bicyclists hitting them.

Get real, Virginia Beach!
