PERBIE C. MCCLELLAN

Perbie C. McClellan, 71, of the 800 block of Hill St., died April 8, 1996, at Chesapeake General Hospital.

Mrs. McClellan, the widow of Ernest J. McClellan, was a native of Norfolk County. She was a member of First Baptist Church, South Hill, and former member of the Missionary Society, beautyfing club and progressive club.

Survivors include a daughter, Jessica Stephson of Chesapeake; a sister, Odias Mann of Chesapeake; five brothers, Morris Clemons, Stephen Clemons Jr., Rev. Jethro Clemons, all of Chesapeake, Elijah Wilson of Maryland and Frank Wilson of Hampton; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three nieces, Lucretha Hyman of Chesapeake, Francine Upton of Hampton and Brenda Clemons of Chesapeake; a nephew, Carlton Clemons of Chesapeake; and a host of sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, cousins and friends.

The funeral will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at New Mt. Oliver A.M.E. Church, 915 Middle St., Chesapeake, by Evangelist Janet Burrus. Burial will be in St. Luke Church Cemetery, Chesapeake. Viewing will be 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. today at Pretlow's Funeral Home. Family and friends will assemble at 2106 Concord Drive, Chesapeake, at 1:45 p.m. Saturday for the procession to the church.
