John T. Hendricks, 89, of 919 Wimbledon Drive, died Tuesday, April 9, 1996, in Presbyterian Hospital due to a massive heart attack.
He was born Jan. 7, 1907, in Columbia, S.C., son of the late Thomas Hendricks and Cora Jane Hendricks. He was better known to his friends, relatives and close acquaintances as ``Buster,'' a nickname that he carried most of his life. Mr. Hendricks spent most of his life in the furniture business. He began in Columbia, where he first met Lois Jones, whom he married and spent his life with for 68 years. He was a member of Brentwood Baptist Church, Norfolk, and attended Calvary Church.
Survivors include his wife, Lois Jones Hendricks; a grancharge.
