JOSEPH A. REYNOLDS SR.

Joseph Allen Reynolds Sr., 69, of E. Meadowwood Drive, died April 9, 1996, in Chesapeake.

He was a native of Tarboro, N.C., and was retired from the Norfolk Naval Shipyard, Shop 26, where he worked as a welder. He was a charter member of Collinswood Baptist Church, and was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and Korea.

He is survived by his wife, Lucy G. Reynolds; two daughters, Sandra R. Johnson and Jean R. Underwood, both of Chesapeake; a son, Joseph A. Reynolds Jr. of Chesapeake; a sister, Lena N. Spyker; three brothers, William Reynolds, Raymond Reynolds and Leslie Reynolds; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. today in Collinswood Baptist Church by the Rev. Jack W. Stallings. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, is in charge.
