JUANITA MARCH

Juanita March, known to her friends as ``WaWa,'' died Thursday afternoon, April 11, 1996, surrounded and adored by the family she loved.

WaWa loved life and lived it fully. She played golf, helping organize the Twilight Golfers for Eagle Haven Lady Golfers, which honored her with a lifetime membership. She also was a driving force in beginning the Bow Creek Garden Club and was chosen as its first president. The hundreds of crape myrtles surrounding Bow Creek neighborhoods were planted through her efforts. She also enjoyed many friends as a member of Retired Officers Wives (ROWS), and bridge partners with Brittany Estates Club. WaWa was the kind of lady who would have crossed the plains in a covered wagon, driving oxen and caring for her babies along the way. Most of all, she was a loved and loving wife, mother and grandmother, the cornerstone of her family.

She is survived by her husband, James Donald March, Cmdr. U.S. Navy (Ret.); a daughter, Gypsy (Mrs. Michael) Savvides; and sons, Donald and David; and by her grandchildren Christopher and Alexandra Savvides, and Anastasia Savvides Nelson and her husband, Chris, and their children.

A church service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, April 15, 1996, at Great Neck Baptist Church by the Rev. Bill Kincaid. Burial will be at Princess Anne Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 6 to 7 p.m. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Laskin Road Chapel, is handling the arrangements.
