Thomas Lee Greenwood Sr., 88, of the 100 block of Monitor Road, died April 12, 1996, in a Portsmouth hospital.
He was a supervisor of data processing and a comptroller at the Norfolk Naval Shipyard. He was a member of Portsmouth Christian Church. He was a founder of Bethany Baptist Church during World War II and was a member of the Beasley Citizens Club. He was a native of Florida.
He is survived by his wife, Martha Bryant Greenwood; son, Thomas Lee Greenwood Jr. of Portsmouth; three stepsons, Roy W. Bryant Jr. of Suffolk, Gene M. Bryant of Smithfield, Charles L. Bryant Sr. of Portsmouth; two grandchildren, Thomas Lee Greenwood of Florida and Bill Greenwood of Portsmouth; seven stepgrandchildren; one great-grandchild, Danielle Nicole Greenwood; and four step-great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday by the Rev. Richard Laslo in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. There will be a visitation today from 3 to 4 p.m in Loving Funeral Home.
