Gordon Ferguson Carr, died April 13, 1996, in Sentara Nursing Center, Norfolk.
He was a native of Elmira, N.Y., and was a Protestant. Mr. Carr worked as a self-employed accountant until his retirement.
He is survived by his wife, Josephine R. Carr; three daughters, Nancy Green of Boston, Mass., Linda Shehey of Virginia, and Ann Swartz and husband, Dennis K. of Norfolk; son, James D. Carr of Virginia Beach; three grandchildren, Kimberly Ann Swartz of Blacksburg, Va., Paul Carr and Julia Carr of Virginia Beach.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Smith and Williams Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel. Burial will be private. Friends may join the family at the funeral home Monday from 7 to 9 for the visitation.
