Charles E. Tuell, 71, died April 12, 1996.
Mr. Tuell was president and owner of Miracle Cleaners, Abingdon, Va. He retired from the U.S. Coast Guard as a Chief after 27 years of service. He was a native of Glade Spring, Va. where he was a member of Glade Spring Baptist Church, Glade Spring, Va. He was also a member of the Abingdon Masonic Lodge (NU)48, A.F. & A.M., past member of the Glade Spring Masonic Lodge (NU)236, A.F. & A.M. where he was the past master and past secretary, past district deputy grand master of the 44th Masonic District, District Instructor of work for the 46th Masonic District; and was past president of the Lewis Q. Moore Masonic School.
He is survived by his wife, Irene Boyd Tuell; three sons, Charles E. Tuell Jr. of Atlanta, Ga., Gary Tuell and Jeffrey Tuell, both of Virginia Beach; brother, Clyde Tuell of Jacksonville, Fla.; and 12 grandchildren.
A funeral will be at 9 a.m. Monday by the Rev. Dennis Blazier in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Neck Chapel. Burial is in Princess Anne Memorial Park. Military honors will be accorded at the funeral home following the funeral on Monday. The family will be at the funeral home today from 7 to 9 p.m. Donations may be made to a charity of choice. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
