John J. Byker, 48, of the 1100 block of Estevan Court, died April 11, 1996, at a local hospital.
He is survived by his parents, the Rev. John J. and Dorothy Byker of Grand Rapids, Mich., and his wife, Thea J. Byker of Virginia Beach. He is also survived by three daughters, Desiree E. Byker of Staunton, Va., Carmen J. and Christa J. Byker of Virginia Beach; three sons, Troy E. Byker of Missoula, Mont., and Wade L. and Ian S. Byker of Virginia Beach; six sisters, Cynthia Kennedy, Barbara Grutter, Ruth Long, Mary Byker, Deborah Benson, and Rachel Bouma; two brothers, Paul and David Byker.
A visitation will be be at Newlife Presbyterian Church, 1817 Landstown Road, on April 14, 1996, from 6 to 7 p.m. with service to follow immediately. Pastor Wally Sherbon Jr. will be presiding. Burial will be in Grand Rapids, Mich. Altmeyer Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
