Howard Green, 65, died Saturday, April 13, 1996.
He was a native of Warwick County. After 33 years, he retired from Newport News Shipyard as a crane operator. He was a member of Main Street Baptist Church and the Usher Board. He was an Army veteran of Korea and a graduate of Huntington High School, class of 1949.
Survivors include his wife, Eunice Edwards Green; a daughter, Felecia Grimes of Norfolk; a foster daughter, Joan E. Edwards of Smithfield; and two sons, Howard Green Jr. of Newport News and Toni Green of Hampton.
The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Main Street Baptist Church by the Rev. Quentin J. Smith. Burial will be in Tynes Memorial Cemetery. The body will be in church at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday. Viewing will be from 3 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Pretlow & Chapman Funeral Home, Smithfield.
