Melvin Gray Williams, 64, of the 2300 block of Norte Zista Drive, died April 16, 1996, at Pomona Valley Hospital, Pomona City, Calif.
Mr. Williams, a plant operating engineer for Concrete Plant, was born Sept. 28, 1931, in Marion County, N.C. He was the son of the late Leander Williams and the late Lillian Wetherington Williams.
Survivors include two daughters, Connie Tyler of Chino, and Teresa Williams of Bellflower, Calif.; seven brothers, Vernon Williams of Goldsboro, N.C., Wallace Williams of Eureka, N.C., Jack Williams of Williamston, N.C., Jr. Williams of Parmele, N.C., Dalton Williams, Kenneth Williams, and Ervin Williams, all of Chesapeake; a sister, Velma Peaks of Everetts, N.C.; and a grandchild.
The funeral will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. Sunday at Biggs Funeral Home Chapel in Robersonville, N.C. A visitation will be today from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
