Lois Madry Nichols, 76, of the 300 block of Teal Crescent, died April 18, 1996, in Gainesville, Fla.
Mrs. Nichols, the widow of Cecil O. ``Doc'' Nichols, formerly worked as a bookkeeper for J.P. Parker Co. in Virginia Beach. She was a native of Scotland Neck, N.C., and a former member of Epworth United Methodist Church. She was the daughter of the late Royal Chamlin Madry Sr. and Hattie Belle Jones Madry.
Survivors include two daughters, Dr. Sharon N. McNeely, and her husband, Dr. Ferrell McNeely, of Gainesville, Anne N. Jones, and her husband, Dick Jones, of Sandbridge; a brother, Royal C. Madry Jr. of Virginia Beach; five grandchildren, Ashley Royal Brown, George Scott ``Scooter'' Brown III, Ian Ferrell McNeely, Jill Erin McNeely, and Tyler Nichols Brown.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Neck Chapel. Burial will be in Rosewood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
