Myrtle Witford Spruill, 88, of the 2400 block of Lofurno Road, died April 18, 1996, at a Portsmouth hospital.
Mrs. Spruill, the widow of Jack L. Spruill, was a retired waitress from Howard Johnson's in Chesapeake. She was a native of Vanceboro, N.C., and a member of Brent-Lox Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son, Andrew N. Eubanks of Chesapeake; a stepdaughter, Joyce Bridges of New Bern, N.C.; a stepson, Charles Spruill of New Bern; three grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandson. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Andrew ``Andy'' Eubanks Jr.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday by the Rev. Steve Turner at Brent-Lox Baptist Church. Burial will be in Olive Branch Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Snellings Funeral Home, George Washington Highway Chapel, today from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
