GREATHEL FRANKLIN

Greathel Franklin, 72, of the 300 block of McLean St., died April 18, 1996, in Portsmouth General Hospital.

She was a native of Petersburg, Va. and the widow of Ernest Franklin Sr. She was a former member of St. John Baptist Church.

She is survived by seven daughters, Greathel Harderman, Shirley Edwards, Linda B. Franklin, Darlene Boone, Celestine Jones, Arlene Franklin, Annette Henderson; five sons, Robert E. Franklin, John H. Franklin, Forrest Franklin, Alton Franklin, Ernest Franklin Jr.; three sisters, Emma Woodard, Mary Johnson, Dorothy Gray; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.

A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday by the Rev. Rodney Tolbert in Fisher Funeral Home. Burial is in Lincoln Cemetery, Portsmouth. The family will be at the residence.
