Fannie M. Whitfield, 74, of the 1500 block of Mt. Vernon Ave., died April 17, 1996, at her residence.
Mrs. Whitfield, the widow of Vernon L. Whitfield, was a retired dietician. She worked for I.C. Norcom High School for 33 years. A native of Portsmouth, she was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Margaret N. Beamon of San Bernardino, Calif.; son-in-law, William E. Beamon of San Bernardino; three aunts, Lassie B. Walker of Baltimore, Md., Maude Jones of Freeman, Va., Marie Buford of Paterson, N.J.; and a host of cousins and friends.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday by the Rev. Ben A. Beamer at Ebenezer Baptist Church. Burial will be in Lincoln Cemetery. Fisher Funeral Home is in charge. ILLUSTRATION: Personal photo
