MAGGIE L. WHITE

Maggie L. White ended life's journey on earth and went home to be with her father April 20, 1996.

She was a native of Deans, Va., and the widow of Donnie White. She was a member of First Calvary Baptist Church for 68 years. She served on the Pastor Aides, Senior Missionary, Maggie Davis Sunday school class and early morning services. She was also a member of Wednesday's Prayer Band at Hunter's Square.

She was predeceased by her daughter, Donnie W. Chavis. She is survived by two daughters, Mabel W. Fields and Beatrice W. Baucham; a son, Columbus L. White, all of Norfolk; 13 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; 19 great-great-grandchildren; eight step-grandchildren; two daughters-in-law; a son-in-law; a sister-in-law; nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

The funeral will be conducted at First Calvary Baptist Church Wednesday at 1 p.m. by Dr. Johnnie L. White. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Hale Funeral Home is in charge. The family will be at 304 West 37th St. The body will be placed in church at 11 a.m. Wednesday.
