Malicious wounding charges pending against a 36-year-old Norfolk man have been upgraded to murder after a man died from stab wounds inflicted April 1.
Michael K. Bynum of the 400 block of W. 30th St. was charged with murder Sunday about 8 p.m.
The victim, identified as Robert N. Johnson, was stabbed in the 700 block of Ballentine Blvd. after an apparent dispute, said Maravia Ebong, a police spokeswoman, on Monday.
Johnson, 32, died Friday at 10:05 a.m. in Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. ILLUSTRATION: Photo
