The 1996-97 proposed operating budget will be presented to City Council at 7 p.m. today in City Council Chambers on the 11th floor of City Hall.
At 7 p.m. Wednesday the budget will be presented to the public, followed by a citizens' forum on the budget.
Interested citizens may attend both presentations. The Tuesday presentation is designed solely as an overview for City Council. The council members will not be present Wednesday.
The Citizens' Forum will share with residents what the proposed budget will provide in the way of expanded services and programs. Staff also will discuss Wednesday what fees will increase as a result of the budget's adoption.
