Steven M. Emmanuel is a candidate and a perfect choice for the Virginia Beach School Board. He was voted the best teacher by his students in his first year of employment at Virginia Wesleyan College. For this accomplishment, Professor Emmanuel received the Samuel Nelson Gray Distinguished Teaching Award.
Mr. Emmanuel is also a member of the Kings Grant Elementary School planning council where his children are students. His biggest commitment is toward the students of the public-school system. As a professional educator, he has the knowledge, experience and insight to make the public-school system a better place for our children to learn.
Mr. Emmanuel is not running a campaign based on politics, but a campaign based on ideas and a vision for the future of public education in Virginia Beach.
Obviously, anyone who is voted the best teacher of the year by his students is only interested in the students' welfare and future. We need someone like Professor Emmanuel, who has the education of our children foremost on his agenda, on the Virginia Beach School Board.
