Police have identified a man whose body was spotted in the water off Harrison's Fishing Pier on Thursday afternoon.
John Allen Vega, 33, was pulled from the water at about 1:41 p.m. in the 400 block of W. Ocean View Ave. Police said Vega, of the 1300 block of E. Ocean View Ave., was the man who apparently fell from the pier April 17.
Vega's body was the second one found in the water in Norfolk on Thursday. About 11:30 a.m., the body of Calvin White of the 300 block of Nicholson St. was discovered in the Elizabeth River behind Waterside. Police said he may have been in the water two to three days. by CNB
