James W. Tims, 64, of Norfolk, died April 24, 1996, at his home.
Mr. Tims was a retired master chief personnelman, U.S. Navy.
He was the husband of Edna P. Tims; father of Jerry L. Tims and Victoria L. Fretwell. He is also survived by four granddaughters; two brothers and four sisters.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. today in Brown Funeral Home, Martinsburg, W.Va. Interment will be in Rosedale Cemetery, Martinsburg, with full military honors. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
