Marian W. Derring, 83, formerly of Armfield Circle, died April 27, 1996, in Newport News.
Mrs. Derring was born in Lancaster County, Va., and was the widow of Richard V. Derring. She was a member of Park Place Baptist Church and the Dorcas Sunday School Class.
Survivors include a daughter, Susan C. Martens, and her husband, A.C. Martens, of Smithfield; and a sister, Hilda Rodekurt of Naples, Fla.
A graveside service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Forest Lawn Cemetery by Dr. Paul B. Wat-lington Jr. The family will receive friends at Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel, Virginia Beach, from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday. Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
