Lawrence Eugene ``Skeat'' Cannady, 31, of the 1400 block of Wirt Ave., died April 25, 1996 in Portsmouth.
Mr. Cannady was born in Portsmouth. He was a graduate of Job Corps and worked as a carpenter.
Survivors include his mother, Roselyn B. Cannady of Portsmouth; his father, Willie L. Cannady of Portsmouth; three sisters, Deborah Langston and L'Tanya Newsome, both of Portsmouth, and Patricia Hansbury of Chesapeake; three brothers, Willie L. III, Bernard and Dennis Cannady, all of Portsmouth; stepmother, Deborah Cannady; stepsister, Katrina Williams; and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Corprew Funeral Home by Minister Damon Hodge. Burial will be in Lincoln Memorial Cemetery. Viewing will begin at 1 p.m. today in the funeral home.
