Mr. Ronald Douglas Collins, 58, of 130 C. Alder Branch Road, died Tuesday April 30, 1996, in the Albemarle Hospital.
Mr. Collins was a former resident of Bridgeville, Del., and was a retired chief petty officer from the U.S. Navy, the co-owner of Collins and Collins General Contracting Company and a Methodist. He was the son of the late Harvey Green Collins and Ethel Smith Collins, and the husband of Susan Patricia Tanner Collins of the residence.
Besides his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Debra Collins Swain of Elizabeth City, and Marsha Collins Arviv of Toronto, Canada; two sons, Donald Matthew Collins of the residence and Ronald Dean Collins of Elizabeth City; two sisters, Lana Mitchell and Barbara Mitchell, both of Seaford, Del.; a brother, Harvey G. Collins of Rehobath Beach, Del.; and seven grandchildren.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery by the Rev. Dennis J. Shaw. The family will receive friends at Twiford's Northside Chapel Thursday from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
