What an exciting story about the bottle that traveled from Oregon Inlet, N.C., to Iceland!
As a retired teacher of the age group of these young ladies, I can think of many projects that could develop from this story. How about a combined project using science, social studies, math, language arts, oceanography and other subjects?
More parents need to encourage young children to be more creative and imaginative. More important, however, they need to become a part of these efforts as the parents in the story did. That would solve many of our problems today.
