THE ART SHOW opening scheduled for tonight at the Virginia Beach Resort and Conference Center has been canceled.
The preview reception for ``1996 Printmaking Exhibition'' will not take place because too few artists entered the art competition, said Trish Beckham, who directs the new commercial gallery space established in the conference center hallway.
While Beckham expected 20 to 30 participants, six regional printmakers entered 14 works. Due to poor participation, the judging was called off. Beckham, however, will still exhibit the submitted prints through June 1.
The resort and conference center is at 2800 Shore Drive; gallery hours are 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily. Call 481-9000. by CNB
