Mary Lee Holland Byrd, 94, died May 8, 1996.
A native of Holland, she was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Lee Clifton Holland and the widow of Newman Herbert Byrd. She was a member of Oakland Christian Church.
Survivors include her sons, Charlie Lee Byrd of Annapolis, Md., Jack R. Byrd of Suffolk, and Gene H. Byrd of Edgewater, Md.; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, Oscar Newman Byrd.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in Oakland Christian Church by the Rev. Mark Burns and the Rev. David Wilson. Burial will be in Newman Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends in the R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home Friday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the Becky Godwin Memorial Scholarship, c/o Oakland Christian Church, 5641 Godwin Blvd., Suffolk, Va. 23432.
