A story Tuesday about the Portsmouth School Board election
incorrectly identified the board's current vice chairman. James E.
Bridgeford is vice chairman.
Turnout in the Suffolk city elections was 60.9 percent of the
voters in the precincts where there were elections. Not all Suffolk
voters participated. A report in Wednesday's paper listed turnout as
25 percent, which was erroneously based on the percent of total
voters citywide.
A story in Wednesday's Daily Break incorrectly reported show
times for ``42nd Street,'' a musical being performed by students of
the Governor's School for the Arts. Performances, at Norfolk's Wells
Theater, are today through Saturday at 8 p.m. and Saturday at 2 p.m.
Tickets are $8. Call 441-2905 for reservations.
A photo caption with ``A Quest for Freedom,'' a story on Sunday's
Metro front, incorrectly referred to Alberta Wilson as a minister.
Wilson, a recent graduate of Tabernacle Baptist Theological
Seminary, teaches Bible studies but is not a minister.
