Daniel J. Hassell, 69, of the 4400 block of Drum Castle Court, died May 3, 1996, in a local hospital.
Mr. Hassell was a retired car salesman. He was born in Colombia, N.C.
He is survived by his wife, Miriam Gray Hassell of Virginia Beach; two sons, Joseph Michael Hassell and Daniel Thomas Hassell, both of Virginia Beach; a brother, Marvin Hassell of Colombia; two granddaughters, Elise A. Brodeur and Elaina A. Ellis, both of Virginia Beach; and a great-grandchild.
A memorial service will be conducted at 4 p.m. Sunday in Bayside Baptist Church, 1920 Pleasure House Road, with the Rev. Don Wilson presiding with Ray Allen assisting. Altmeyer Funeral Home is in charge. ILLUSTRATION: Photo
