The Chesapeake police and sheriff's department, and the city's
Fraternal Order of Police chapter honored city police officers
killed in the line of duty. Participating in the service at the
municipal complex was Monica Eaker, above, widow of Daniel Eaker,
who on Nov. 4 became the most recent Chesapeake officer to die.
Daniel Eaker is also survived by a daughter, Vanessa. Other officers
honored were Jasper C. Miller, Berchman L. White, Talbot D. Barrow,
Ralph M. Steed, Ray P. Gallimore, and John H. Cherry.
