A Hampton man was arrested Wednesday in connection with a February traffic accident that left a Windsor man dead.
Barney Hensley was charged with manslaughter, driving under the influence and driving with a revoked license, Commonwealth's Attorney W. Parker Councill said. Hensley had been indicted Friday by an Isle of Wight grand jury.
Police said Richard H. Stone, 37, was driving a pickup truck on Route 258, about 8 p.m. Feb. 27, when Hensley's Jeep Cherokee and Stone's truck collided head-on. Stone died a short time later at Louise Obici Memorial Hospital in Suffolk.
Hensley, who was also hurt in the accident and flown to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, was not charged at the scene.
Hensley was released on $5,000 bond. No trial date was set.
