NATIONSBANK TO INSTALL TERMINALS AT POST OFFICES

NationsBank will install credit and debit card terminals at U.S. Post offices in North Carolina as part of an initiative to install 50,000 terminals nationwide.

``This roll out represents the largest deployment of credit and debit terminals ever,'' said Paul Ferm, NationsBank Federal Government Banking executive.

Terminals will be installed at more than 100 post offices. Customers will be able to use debit and automatic teller machine cards, as well as some credit cards. By 1997, 33,000 locations nationwide will offer this service.

Charlotte-based NationsBank has a retail banking franchise in nine states and the District of Columbia. As of March 31, 1996, NationsBank had total assets of $194 billion making it the fifth-largest U.S. banking company. (AP) by CNB
