It is indeed reassuring that someone eminently qualified is willing to speak out with reason, logic and common sense in favor of the Omnibus Property Rights Act being considered by the Senate.
Robert Shaffer (Another View, May 6) certainly presents a sound position for ``fairness and equality'' in government-agency attitudes toward private-property owners and their constitutional rights.
Everyone who cares for our good Earth to any extent agrees with the need for preservation by regulation. All we ask is greater understanding and reasonable application of the principles involved to achieve the desired goals for all of us.
