Frank Gagnier's Taekwondo recently set a Taekwondo America Grand Nationals meet record by producing six national champions from one school in one year. The championships were held in Hot Springs, Ark., April 26-27.
The school also produced 14 other black belts who finished in the top 10 of their respective divisions. All competitors were black belts.
Jerry Rodriguez was a repeat champion, taking the men's first- and second-degree division.
John Powell won in the men's third- and fourth-degree division.
Jenny Theroux won in the women's first- and second-degree division and son Richie took the title in the boys 12-13 division.
Erik Lundberg won in the boys 10-11 age group. J.B. Walsh captured the boys and girls 9-under championship.
Competition was held in both forms and sparring with points from both going to the overall national champ. by CNB
