Lue Wilburn Petty, 73, of the 8000 block of Crescent Road, died May 17, 1996, in his home.
Mr. Petty, a native of Spartanburg, S.C., retired as a construction foreman from B.F. Diamond Construction Company. He attended Spurgeon Memorial Baptist Church. He was a World War II veteran of the Army Air Corps.
Survivors include his wife, Eula Petty; a daughter, Teresa Webb of Norfolk; a son, Michael Petty of Hampton; a sister, Ruby Holmes of Macon, Ga.; and five grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday by Dr. Paul C. Lawson at Smith and Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends in the funeral home Monday from 7 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Spurgeon Memorial Baptist Church.
