WILLIAM E. LOVICK

Dr. William E. Lovick, 67, passed away May 16, 1996, in Spring Hill, Fla.

Dr. Lovick received his formal education at the University of North Carolina; Southeastern College; University of Geneva, Switzerland; Assemblies of God Graduate School and Southern Methodist University. He was also a graduate of Granby High School.

He served more than 30 years as a missionary in West Africa and Zaire. He served as a pastor in Florida, then founded Lovick Ministries and continued with missions endeavors in Romania and Zaire, Africa. Dr. Lovick also served as missions director at Parkway Christian Fellowship in Birmingham for several years.

Dr. Lovick is survived by his wife, Margaret; a daughter and son-in-law, Marsha and David Barry of Spring Hill; a son, William David of Birmingham and Zaire; and a grandson, William Isaac Barry of Spring Hill.

A graveside service will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. in Forest Lawn Cemetery by Pastor David Barry. The family will receive friends at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday. In lieu of flowers, a memorial gift may be made to Lovick Ministries, P.O. Box 9636, Birmingham, Ala. 35220.
