Shirley Prentice Wright, 58, of the 1400 block of Cornwall Place, died Friday, May 17, 1996, in her residence.
Mrs. Wright was a native of Norfolk and was the former secretary for Larchmont Baptist Church. She was a part-time administrative assistant for Nations Bank for 12 years. She was a longtime member of Ghent United Methodist Church, having sung in its choir. She also was a member of the West Ghent Circle of the Children's Hospital of The King's Daughters and the Town Point Yacht Club.
Mrs. Wright is survived by her husband, C. Leon ``Sonny'' Wright; a daughter, Leslie Kathryn Wright of Norfolk; and a brother, Jack Prentice of Goldsboro, N.C. A private funeral will be held. Memorial contributions may be made to the S.P.C.A. or to the Tidewater AIDS Taskforce. Cox Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
