Estelle Mason ``EcKie'' Fugate, of the 400 block of W. 26th St., died May 15, 1996, in her residence.
She retired from Storage and Van Line. She was born in Hall Wood, Va., and was a member of Tabernacle Church of God and Christ. She was an usher of the church.
Survivors include three daughters, Delores Adams, Ernestine Fugate, both of Norfolk, Linda Fugate of Chesapeake; eight sons, Leroy Mason, Larry Mason Sr., Calvin Mason, Anthony Fugate, Ernest Fugate Jr., Ronald Fugate, and Kevin Fugate, all of Norfolk, Michael Fugate of Chesapeake; three sisters, Bernice Teel, Hattie Mason, Fannie Mae Mason, all of Norfolk; two brothers, Lonnie Mason of Seabreeze, Fla., Edward Mason of Norfolk; 38 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; aunt, Irene Lee of Norfolk; and a host of other relatives and friends.
The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday by Pastor Mattie Jenkins at Tabernacle of God and Christ. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. The remains will be ready for viewing Monday at 3 p.m. The family will assemble at 417 W. 26th St. at noon for the procession. Carlos A. Howard Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, is in charge.
