ANTHONY G. TAYLOR

Anthony G. ``Tony'' Taylor, 20, of the 3500 block of Forest Haven Lane, died May 18, 1996, in Maryview Nursing Care Center, Suffolk.

He was a student at Norfolk State University for a year. He was a native of Portsmouth and a member of New Bethel Baptist Church, Portsmouth, where he was former member of the Youth Usher and Little Buds and he was also a former member of the children's choir. He was a member of the U.S.A. Wrestling Association and a member of the Norfolk State Wrestling Team.

He is survived by her parents, Rosalind Whitehead Taylor and George A. Taylor, both of Chesapeake; a sister, Tarvaris T. Taylor of Chesapeake; a brother, LaMonte A. Taylor of Chesapeake; maternal grandfather, James W. Whitehead of Portsmouth, paternal grandfather, George A. Taylor Sr. of Portsmouth; paternal grandmother, Ethel T. Parker of Portsmouth; maternal great-grandmother, Rosa Whitehead of Portsmouth; paternal great-grandfather, Charles B. Wilson of Seller, S.C.; and maternal great-grandfather, Welton Mebane of Portsmouth; uncles, aunts, cousins, in-laws, and friends.

A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday by the Rev. J.M. Whitaker and the Rev. George Henry in New Bethel Baptist Church, Portsmouth. Burial is in Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake. There will be a viewing at Corprew Funeral Home beginning at 10 a.m. Wednesday. The body will be taken to the church at 11:30 a.m. Thursday.
