Common sense is either very sick or dead. Your People column of May 16 told of the ban, championed by Peter Graves, on gas-powered blowers in Los Angeles. Graves is quoted as saying: ``They call them leaf blowers because, indeed, they do blow leaves around and around and around. But they also blow other things around.'' The 70-year-old actor mentioned fungus. By a vote of nine to four, the blowers were banned. Haven't these people ever heard of wind?
