William Troy Valos, a member of Boy Scout Troop 48 in Great Bridge, has earned the highest rank a Boy Scout can receive, the rank of Eagle.
Valos, the son of Bill and Lynn Valos of Brandermill Drive, is a junior honor roll student at Great Bridge High School.
He is a member of the National Spanish Honor Society, the National Honor Society and a participant in the Chesapeake Student Leadership Forum. He plays string bass in the school's orchestra and was chosen for the concert orchestra as well as an alternate for the senior regional orchestra.
For his Eagle Scout service project, Valos built and installed picnic tables for use by the handicapped at Locks Point Park, Mount Zion Church in Norfolk and Great Bridge United Methodist Church. ILLUSTRATION: Photo
