REGINALD M. MAPP

Reginald Moss Mapp, 88, died May 14, 1996. A memorial service was held at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in Greensboro.

Reginald was born in Bellehaven, Va., graduate of Virginia Polytechnic Institute as an outstanding athlete, and later played baseball for the N.Y. Giants. Reginald served in the U.S. Navy as a lieutenant commander in World War II, receiving two battle stars and a Purple Heart for his involvement in the Battle of Guadalcanal and the Battle of the Coral Sea.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Bright Grove Mapp; daughters, Mary Mapp Anderson, Jacquelyn Mapp Farlow; and sister, Louise Johnston of Onancock, Va.
