Frances Newby Cook, 56, of the 8200 block of Old Ocean View Road, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ May 25, 1996. She died in a Norfolk hospital.
She was a native of Norfolk and a member of Brentwood Baptist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Deanna Marie Cook of Norfolk; her mother, Virginia Cousins Newby of Norfolk; two uncles, D. Paul Cousins of Midlothian, Va., and Clifford E. ``Kippy'' Cousins Jr. of Chesapeake; an aunt, Martha Belle C. McCormick of Norfolk; and a son, Charles J. York of Norfolk, whom she raised.
The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday by the Rev. John Sykes at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 7 to 8 p.m. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Brentwood Baptist Church.
