Snora Susan Absher, 80, died May 27, 1996, in Princeton Community Hospital.
She was the widow of A.B. Absher, who died in December 1991. She was born May 30, 1915, in Patrick County, Va., to Charles Elam Vaughn and Melissa Ellen Boyd. She was a homemaker and a maker and lover of quilts. She had been a resident of Burke Mountain for the past 41 years.
She was predeceased by her parents and two infant sons; four brothers; a sister; and a grandson, Donnie Sizemore. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Charles Ruth Spinella of Virginia Beach, and Mrs. Donald Susie Sizemore of the home; two sons, John L. Absher of Hampton, Albert Absher Jr. of Bedford, Va.; two sisters, Bertha Jones of Eckman, W.Va., Mae Trent of McDowell, W.Va.; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today in Bennett-Widener Funeral Home. Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home chapel by the Rev. Patrick Browning. Burial will be in Boyd Cemetery in Meadows of Dan, Va. on Thursday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Boyd Cemetery Fund through Bennett-Widener Funeral Home, Box 788, Northfork, W.Va.
