Regarding the recent vandalism at the Central Meat Packing Plant: My 11-year-old daughter and I read the newspaper together, discussing this article and the senselessness of vandalism and the way some radical groups can take a good cause and become so wrapped up in making a name for themselves they often forget what they stand for.
Some of these individuals ought to put their efforts into helping the homeless, feeding the poor and caring for the thousands of neglected children. But I guess such causes would not afford them the publicity they receive by protecting a part of the food chain.
