Robert L. West died on Monday, May 27, 1996, in Duke University Medical Center, Durham, N.C.
Mr. West was a native of Warren County, N.C. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Mary Evans West.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Alice West; two daughters, Joyce West of Enfield and Delores Jean West of Littleton, N.C.; four sons, Calvin West, Robert West Jr., both of Enfield, Andrew West of Warrenton, N.C. and George West of Charlotte, N.C.; five sisters, Estella Everett, Louise Payne, Lula B. Richardson, all of Franklin, Elnora Alston of Warrenton, N.C., and Mary Battle of Rocky Mount, N.C.; and one brother, Elijah West of New Jersey.
A funeral service wil be held on Sunday at 3 p.m. in Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, Essex, N.C. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Church Cemetery. Hillard Funeral Home, Whitaker, N.C., is handling arrangements.
