ANGELO M. FILIPPI

Angelo M. Filippi, 48, of the 300 block of W. Brambleton Ave., died May 30, 1996, in a local hospital.

Mr. Filippi was a native of Brooklyn, N.Y., and a resident of Norfolk. He graduated from Pace University in New York and was an accountant and proprietor of Commonwealth Accounting Firm. He loved to backpack, hike, and was an avid book collector. He was a founding member of the Tidewater Appalachian Club, and possessed a great love for the Revolutionary Period. He was Catholic.

Survivors include his mother, Florence Filippi; a sister, Teri Regina of Palm Coast, Fla.; a brother, James Filippi of Long Island, N.Y.; a niece, Janine Regina of Palm Coast; and a nephew, Michael Filippi of Long Island.

A chapel service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday at H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Norfolk Chapel, by Father Edward Richardson. The family will receive friends in the funeral apartments today from 7 to 8 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 101 West Plume St., Norfolk, Va., 23510. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Norfolk Chapel, are handling the arrangements.
