First baseman Roberto Petagine on Friday became the first Norfolk Tide to be called up this season by the New York Mets.
Petagine will fill in for Rico Brogna, who is out of the lineup with a sore shoulder but hasn't been put on the disabled list.
Outfielder Kevin Roberson was outrighted to Norfolk to make room for Petagine. Roberson has until tonight to accept the assignment or be released. If he accepts, Roberson will have 72 hours to report to the Tides.
