Robert Wayne Thompson, 40, died June 3, 1996, in his home.
Mr. Thompson, a native of Portsmouth, was a crane operator for Century Concrete Services. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Survivors include three daughters, Jackie Thompson, Rebecca Thompson, and Amy Thompson, all of Portsmouth; a stepson, Kevin S. Dunn of Chesapeake; parents, Jackie and Patricia Thompson of Elizabeth City, N.C.; a sister, Cynthia T. Edwards of Richmond; and two brothers, William M. Thompson of Portsmouth and Danny R. Thompson of Elizabeth City. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Lisa Marie Thompson.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday in Oak Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday at Foster Funeral Home and other times at 1525 City Park Ave.
