ONE FOR THE MONEY, TWO FOR THE SHOW, THREE TO GET READY AND . . .

Elvis was falling out of the sunny blue sky, breathing fire and towering 10 feet above the packed Boardwalk last weekend. The 1996 salute to the legendary rock 'n' roller, Viva Elvis II, featured everything from fried peanut butter and banana sandwiches to Elvis karaoke to impersonators of all ages and sizes performing or simply strolling the Boardwalk. Thousands of locals and tourists alike headed for the beach stages at 7th, 17th and 24th streets to see such headliners as Black Elvis, Young Elvis, Las Vegas performer Dennis Wise, the Jerry Presley Revue with impersonations of Sonny and Cher, Roy Orbison, Pasty Cline and more and locals Bob Glass and Sterling Riggs.
